Google+

The Official Google Blog introduced the Google+ project just three weeks ago. It's intriguing, and exciting, and I love being at the front end of what looks like a landscape-changing project. Like most of my friends and PLN members, I am finding my way through the process of creating circles and building connections, and wondering just where this will take us. Most of the early comments that came across my stream addressed the questions of how to manage the circles, and where this journey will take us. Over the past few days, I've seen more adventuresome contributions (photos, videos, banter, longer threaded conversations).

As I develop my circles and play with the functions, I am wondering how the project will settle into my daily and weekly digital hygiene. How frequently will I check the streams? Will I have time to maintain connections on this, and Facebook, and Twitter, in addition to keeping up with blogs, RSS feeds, email, and diigo updates? Will I ultimately choose Google+ over both fb and Twitter? It's a possibility.

G+ looks like a well-designed and well-thought-out tool. I know that as creative and collaborative thinkers get their hands and minds around it, it will present possibilities that will surprise and delight us. Looking forward to that!
